What is mist elimination ?
It denotes removal of liquid droplets contained in a gas stream. For example, natural gases and fuel gases utilized for electric power supply and town gases contain liquid droplets such as water droplets and oil droplets. Liquid droplets are removed because they lead to failure or irregularity of equipment such as turbines, burners, and compressors through which gases pass.

Specific Solutions

1) Cyclone type
Moisture in a gas flow is eliminated by the action of centrifugal force and gravity.

2) Demister type
The demister captures mist in a gas flow by means of its wire mesh inside. It is featured by lightweight, low cost, low pressure loss, high capturing performance, etc., and is mainly used in ascending flows. It demonstrates a high capturing capacity even for very fine mist. (See figure below)
3) Cartridge type
The cartridge type separates and captures mist and gas by means of surface tension when mist in air passes through several layers of glass fibers inside the cartridge. Since a separator with a large area can be put in a compact housing, the type enables high-performance separation to be performed, and an inexpensive pricing can also be achieved.
